Basically a thin layer of wood layer with aluminum oxide finish for real durability. The next best thing to solid hardwood and can be installed over cement.

So many types of styles from rustic to contemporary and many colors. While it's best to have a professional install it is a project an experienced DIY'er could do themselves.
